About This Blog's Music Player + Mothlight

If you are browsing this blog on a computer, you will notice there is a music player at the top. I had always wanted to add something like this to my blog, so I am glad about the widget I found. Shoutout to SCM Music Player! Should I say ‘not sponsored’? Well, I am not being sponsored. This blog is a place to let my thoughts out, in no particular order. I might get sponsors in the future, though, who knows. In any case, I would let you know.

So! About the tracks, they are all hand-picked, original soundtracks from videogames. The themes I went for were relaxation and peace. I wanted to add background music that made reading comfortable—I hope you like it! As of now, there are 54 tracks. How far will that number get? I wonder.

The tracks should start playing automatically, but in case they do not, just fast forward to the next track. Oh, and the music player be disabled altogether if you have an ad-blocker. There are no ads on this blog, by the way.

Mothlight

To change the topic a bit, I wanted to mention a game I played last month: Mothlight. I do not have any screenshots to show, but here are some from its store page:

I usually take screenshots, but in some RPG Maker games, attempting to take them may cause you to be sent back to the main menu, I believe it was the case for this one. No problem, though! I still had a great time. I wanted to talk about this game because it was a nice experience. A bit on the short side, but very much worthwhile. Plus, the game is free! If you are interested in trying it, here is the store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/687980/Mothlight/

I am not being sponsored for this, either. My goal is to share what I am into, and spread it to those it may concern! I believe that artists should support each other's works, after all.

Going back to the topic of music, I really enjoyed the soundtrack of Mothlight. Two tracks in particular stuck with me, which I will be sharing today. I was only going to share the most relaxing one, but might as well give room for other moods. Now, are you ready for a little questionnaire? Please, answer the following question: Are you in a chill or hyper mood?

  • Chill mood.
A-ha! That is great to hear. Take a listen to this, I hope it relaxes you even further:

  • I am super hyper.
Great! Then this song will wake you up even more (do not be fooled by how it begins).

  • I am in the middle.
Ah, I see. I feel you! Please enjoy this track. I know I said I would share two, but I am quick to change course (it makes life pretty much!)

Now, I am off to have lunch. Hope you liked the topics addressed today! Before I go, though, I want to say real quick that I am doing much better mentally. In the previous post, I expressed my recent—and old—struggles, but I am already feeling more stable and well. I am really thankful for that. Right, then, thank you very much for reading until this point! Stay healthy, sleep enough, and all that good stuff.

Wishing you an excellent day,

Shad.

The Endless Empty + Life Update

Last month, I received a gift from my best friend. The gift being The Endless Empty, a videogame. A few entries ago, on this post, I mentioned wanting to try it. By the way, the reason I received said game was because it was my birthday. Thank you for the present, Drad!

And so, I played it. It was... interesting. I certainly had fun with it. I especially enjoyed the characters 'Anxiety' and 'Trigger Finger'.

This is not a review, however. I just wanted to share some screenshots I took, and give a general life update. Let's begin with the screenshots (you can click on the images to get a better view).

As you can see, it has got an interesting design direction. I believe it was great in that sense. Although the story did not resonate with me that much, it was the characters that made the journey enjoyable. Now, onto the life update!

I am not doing so great, which is probably why I am writing on this blog today. Writing can be incredibly therapeutic to me. Lately, I have been physically weak. And mentally, I am recovering from anxiety. I thought I had overcome my anxiety episodes—I had strong ones about two years ago—but it seems like recovery is a slow process. I am doing much better than before, of course, but there is still work to be done.

Every time I feel anxious, it has repercussions on my body, especially on my stomach. When I feel fear and anxiety, I get nauseous every time I eat. It may be my favourite dish, but I still feel bad. Even water makes me feel queasy. I struggled with this some years ago, and it made life quite miserable. The condition improved as my mental state became more stable, though.

The answer is obvious, then. I must work on my mental health in order to keep my body in a good condition. I do not want to feel this way, so I will do my best to improve.

A couple of months ago, I tried breathing exercises, and they did wonders. They reminded me of the time I used to meditate daily. I think I should do that more often. That being said, I would like to take a nice, warm shower and relax for the day. I hope you enjoyed the screenshots and the little life update.

Until the next one. My very best wishes,

Shad.
